Ekosport acquisition to expand its digital presence

French outdoor retailer Ekosport has acquired Dutch e-commerce specialist SkiWebShop. Annual sales of the winter sports apparel and equipment platform based in Breda are €11 million, with 50% of its sales outside of the Netherlands. Terms of the acquisition were not revealed.

“This acquisition aligns with our long-term plan to deliver an optimal customer experience while expanding our presence in Europe,” commented Ekosport president Yannick Morat. He added that Ekosport will benefit from SkiWebShop’s wider geographical presence, especially in Benelux and Germany, deeper product catalogue, and digital marketing expertise.
