First Outdoor Impact Summit announced
28/03/2025
The event intends to highlight three main topics: circularity, biodiversity, and policy and compliance. Confirmed events include a workshop led by Bowie Miles, a textile innovation and sustainability expert, a panel talk with Eva Karlsson (Houdini), Nina Hajikanian (Patagonia) and Antje von Dewitz (Vaude). Jerome Pero of the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) will deliver an update on EU policies, and One Voice for Outdoor a policy communications masterclass. A session on the EU Omnibus Simplification Package with public affairs consultancy Ohana and Fair Wear Foundation will also address legislative issues.
Other events include a film screening by Protect Our Winters, and a party on the evening of the first day.
“We have created the Outdoor Impact Summit with two very clear objectives – to elevate the discourse on sustainability in the outdoor sector, and to deliver practical solutions that delegates can take back to their businesses and implement,” commented EOG director Christian Schneidermeier.
The EOG has announced that all profits from the summit will be donated to the Impact Accelerator Fund, an outdoor industry initiative supporting decarbonisation projects and climate mitigation actions within supply chains.
