Yarn developer picks up Woolmark award
Worsted wool yarn spinner Südwolle Group was one of the winners in the 2025 International Woolmark Prize competition.
At a ceremony in Milan at the start of April, Su¨dwolle Group was presented with the competition’s supply chain award. The Woolmark Company said Su¨dwolle had shown “continual commitment and dedication to innovation and product development, meeting customer needs and supporting the wool industry”.
“We feel honoured and proud; this prize confirms that our mindset of viewing the supply chain holistically and collaboratively is appreciated," said Su¨dwolle Group’s chief sales officer, Ste´phane Thouvay. "As ambassadors for wool we actively promote this fantastic fibre, through our global yarn production network, and our strong partnerships with manufacturers, brands and designers.”
