WFSGI takes its general assembly to China

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) held its 2025 general assembly and board meeting  China, with the events taking place in two different cities on two different days.

Xiamen hosted the general assembly on April 15. It brought together more than 60 WFSGI members from across the globe. They heard presentations on, and took part in discussions about growth and further potential of mass participation in sports, in China and around the world.

The following day, the WFSGI board meeting took place in Jinjiang, with Anta Sports hosting.

WFSGI chief executive, Emma Zwiebler, commented: “We have committed to rotating our general assembly between Europe, the Americas and Asia, taking our annual event to key sporting goods hubs around the world. At a time of rising global tension, it was important to bring the industry together under one roof in pursuit of our joint purpose to unite and support the global sporting goods industry to ensure a healthier, more active planet for all.”
