Silk terry activewear launch
Silk specialist Lilysilk is introducing its very first activewear range featuring the natural fibre. The basis of the new range is a terry knit fabric that the New York-based brand has called Silkerry. Made from 100% silk, it offers genuine performance properties, notably temperature regulation, moisture management and bacteria-resistance, in addition to its soft and smooth skin-friendly hand feel. The high thermal conductivity of silk is also said to draw heat away for an instant cooling effect.
The first Silkerry collection is available in three lines, with Seamflow offering a tailored approach to sportswear basics, and Porchlight featuring more relaxed styles. The third range, Heirloom '89, revisits timeless sports classics.
The launch of this new line is the result of the brand’s consumer research into evolving lifestyles. “Activewear isn't just for the gym anymore. As fitness, work and life blend seamlessly, people expect apparel that delivers both style and elegance,” commented Lilysilk CEO David Wang.
