Circular economy push for YKK in Lisbon
Specialist zipper developer YKK has said it will present some circular economy ideas at the 2025 Textile Exchange Conference in Lisbon (October 13-17).
Ideas for enabling manufacturers and brands to make the transition to the circular economy that YKK will present include zipper and fastening products made from recycled inputs, including textile-to-textile and metal material recycling.
Products in its range that meet these criteria include Natulon, Natulon Fiber Source and Natulon Plus. They will also include the company’s Recycled Mono-material Detachable Button & Rivet, which was a winner at the 2025 Red Dot awards in the sustainable design category.
Zippers and fastening products that enable garment repair and recycling, such as Revived Renewal Components, will also feature in the company’s presentations in Lisbon.
