YKK’s recycled material-containing Natulon series has exceeded 50% of sales, up from 3% in 2019.

The series has been shown to emit around 20% less greenhouse gas (GHG) during production.

Yasuhiro Sato, a vice-president of product strategy at YKK, said: “We will aim to create a circular society for apparel by further increasing the share of Natulon series zips in global sales, as well as developing zips that can be easily recycled along with the garments themselves.”
