H&M reaches 30% recycled materials
Swedish retailer H&M has said 32% of the materials it used in 2025 were recycled, surpassing its target of 30%.
It also achieved a 41% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in scopes 1 and 2 (company-owned and its energy) and 35% percent reduction in scope 3 (supplier level) , from a 2019 baseline, putting the company on track to meet its science-based targets.
The results have been published in its annual report, in which it said it invested SEK 2.8 billion (£222 million) in decarbonisation and material innovation.
Daniel Ervér, CEO of H&M Group, said: “We are strengthening our offering and showing that growth, profitability and reduced emissions can go hand in hand. In 2025, we continued to take important steps towards all our long-term targets: profitability increased, the sales trend was positive and our CO2 emissions decreased.”
