Sports group Puma has appointed James Carnes as its new senior vice-president for creative direction. He will take up the role with immediate effect.

Mr Carnes worked in senior design roles at rival group adidas until 2021. After leaving adidas, he worked as an independent consultant.

Puma has described him as having a strong background in industrial design and a deep understanding of athletes and consumers.

For his part, James Carnes described Puma as “one of the most iconic sports brands in the world”.
