Synflux takes home GFA Trailblazer award

At the Global Fashion Agenda, which took place last week in Copenhagen, the sustainability summit presented a selection of nine promising start-ups for 2026. The Algorithmic Couture concept developed by fashion tech company Synflux was singled out for the top award, which comes with an investment package worth up to $200,000, backed by access to advisory, commercial and operational support from PDS, the programme’s main sponsor. “Synflux stood out for its ability to deliver measurable environmental impact while also making strong commercial sense,” commented Pallak Seth, executive vice chairman of PDS Limited.

The Japanese speculative design lab has developed a pattern-making system designed to “significantly reduce waste”. It is said to be able to reduce fabric waste by 50 to 66% and total material use by 10 to 15% per style while delivering factory-ready data.

Synflux has been working with Goldwin group brands such as The North Face as well as Japanese designer label Issey Miyake.
