New European sales manager for Black Diamond

Technical outdoor brand Black Diamond, owned by Clarus Corporation, has appointed Sven Hana as its new European sales manager. He will retain his role as head of sales for the DACH region. The current European sales team includes Thiébaut Kempf, in charge of southern Europe, and Anja Jessl, who covers the Nordics and Eastern Europe.

One of his main tasks will be to boost the brand’s apparel sales.

Black Diamond’s European headquarters are located in Innsbruck, the USA base is in Salt Lake City.

In 2025, Clarus, a listed company, reported sales of $250.4 million, down compared to 2024 ($264.3 million), and a net loss of $46.6 million. Sales for its outdoor segment decreased nearly 4% at $176.9 million. The dip in sales is attributed to lower independent global distributor revenues and the divestment of PIEPS, a maker of avalanche security equipment, in July 2025.
