AMSilk appoints new CEO
German silk protein fibre maker AMSilk has announced the appointment of Christian Wichert as its new CEO. The executive was most recently CEO of a Swiss biotech company, Evolva, and has held leadership roles at specialty chemicals companies and consumer packaged goods. He replaces Ulrich Scherbel, who will remain with the company as managing director and chief operating officer for premium filaments.
Mr Wichert arrives at the company the year that AMSilk made its entry into Balenciaga’s spring 2026 collection.
