Hirsch and Mimaki forge textile machine partnership

Provider of apparel decorating equipment Hirsch International Corp. has signed an agreement with Mimaki USA, Inc., under which it will distribute Mimaki's GP-604 digital garment printers in the US. The agreement will initially last one year, which will be automatically renewed unless either company terminates the agreement.

Mimaki’s inkjet printers are used for textiles and apparel and can print directly onto ready-made clothing and can help designers support small-lot production and on-demand market requests.

“This addition is particularly important for us as the general economic slowdown has impacted consumers’ buying decisions. We believe that MIMAKI’s high-quality, moderately priced machines may present existing and new customers with more economically viable buying options,” said Paul Gallagher, CEO of Hirsch International.

Hirsch provides Tajima embroidery machines, MHM screen printing machines, SEIT laser bridge machines, Pulse digitising software and Kornit digital garment printers. It operates in 27 locations across the US.

Japan-based Mimaki manufactures a range of wide-format inkjet printers and cutting machines for the textile/apparel, sign/graphics and industrial markets.
