No single-use plastic bottles at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market

The organisers of the Outdoor Retailer exhibitions have partnered with reusable drinks container brand Nalgene in an effort to eliminate single-use plastic bottles from the forthcoming Summer Market in Denver (June 17-20).

The first 25,000 attendees will receive a custom Nalgene water bottle upon registration. They will be able to refill it at one of the more than 170 water stations located throughout the Colorado Convention Centre.

According to Nalgene estimates, by drinking 64 ounces of water from a reusable bottle each day, a person can save 1,460 bottles from landfill in a year.

“We’re excited to partner with Nalgene to give Summer Market attendees a refillable bottle and offer an easy way for everyone to reduce their plastic footprint,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer vice president and show director. “The bottles are perfect for everyone at Summer Market to use and reuse during the show and take with them on their next adventures.”
