09/06/2009

Italian knitting machinery provider Santoni has said that its decision to exhibit some of its latest technology at the Shanghaitex event for the first time is a reflection of the importance China now has in the clothing manufacturing sector.

The Brescia-based company has said that Shanghaitex, which runs in Shanghai from June 12–15 and this celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary, is a must for textile machinery providers.

The machines that will make their debut at the Shanghai exhibition include the new SM8 -TR1. This single jersey machine is designed for seamless wear especially for the outdoor and sportswear market because it produces the eyelet fabric formation that is so important for breathable athletic apparel.
