M&S to reveal Plan A results at ShanghaiTex

Ten years after introducing Plan A, UK retailer M&S has reduced its packaging by 26%, made its UK operations 28% more energy efficient and introduced three ‘green’ factories in Sri Lanka and Wales.

In January 2007, the retailer invested £200 million in Plan A, setting out 100 environmental and social commitments.

In 2014, it added Plan A 2020, which consists of 100 modified commitments to achieve by 2020.

Toiny Pang, environmental sustainability manager at M&S, will share more details about Plan A 2025 during a presentation at the 18th Shanghai International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2017) on November 28.
