Fibre business falls for Asahi Kasei

Asahi Kasei Corporation has reported that its net sales fell by 25% during the April-June quarter.

Fibre sales decreased by 27.1%. Shipments  of the company’s Roica elastic polyurethane filament fell because of what Asahi Kasei referred to as “deteriorating overseas market conditions”. Shipments of its Bemberg regenerated cellulose to overseas markets, and  of its Leona nylon-66 filament also declined.
