Activewear brands turn to Roica for stretch yarns

21/02/2018
Japanese fibre manufacturer Asahi Kasei has given information about some of the activewear brands that will use its Roica stretch fibres in their products for summer 2018.

Italian women’s golf wear specialist Chervò will incorporate material from the Roica Colour Perfect family of yarns into coordinated sets of polo shirts and skirts.

Roica Eco-Smart yarns will feature in a new mid-layer technical cross-country ski set from mountain sports clothing brand Maloja.

Two cycling brands, Spain-based Safetti and Italian group Santini, have also turned to Roica for their stretch fibre needs. Safetti will use Roica Eco-Smart yarns in a range of garments designed and manufactured for what it calls “real cyclists”, while Santini aims to help cyclists during winter training with a thermal bib made from Roica’s StretchEnergy active performance material.

Finally, The North Face’s new trek pant and zip hood top for summer 2018 will feature fabric from Asahi Kasei’s Advance collection, including Roica Contour, which allows for four-way stretch construction.
