Roica celebrates 50th anniversary with new blends

Japanese chemicals company Asahi Kasei, the maker of stretch fibre Roica, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a raft of new collaborations and blends.

A new design of hangtags show the Roica portfolio’s functions and a new branding policy indicates the allowed blends.

Italy-based knitted fabrics maker Eusebio has created a beachwear collection made with Roica Color Perfect, and includes foils, glitter and lurex.

Interjersey Milano has blended Q-Nova with Roica EF, and Amni Soul Eco and Roica V550. Q-Nova is a recycled fibre by Fulgar; Amni Soul Eco is a biodegradable polyamide yarn by Rhodia.

Piave Maitex has created options with Roica EF, three-dimensional and optical fabrics, perforated, fleece effects, with technical features such as waterproofing and anti-UV.

Sofileta presents new fabrics made with Newlife re-engineered polyester from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles and Roica EF premium sustainable stretch. Sofileta offers a 55 colour stock service.

Roica is also partner of CLASS (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy), an eco textiles hub  founded by Giusy Bettoni.
