Tintex inspired by freedom for performance fabrics collection
19/03/2021
Portuguese textiles maker Tintex has taken inspiration from “rediscovering the outside world” and teamed up with suppliers including Lenzing, Polygiene and Archroma for its spring-summer 2022 collection.
The 24 Hours Collection is based on the interlock knit technique, and the company has explored constructions by combining texturized with plain surfaces as well as light and heavy weights.
The 10 fabrics include Q-Nova (a recycled nylon 6.6) and stretch fibre Roica.
A 46% organic cotton/ 54% Newlife (made from plastic bottles) blend uses Polygiene’s Stay Fresh and Odor Crunch to control and break down odours, and hydrophilic finish Hydroperm by Archroma creates a fast-dry surface.
Polygiene and Archroma performance is also used on a 100% Tencel fabric, which includes Tastex technology by Tanatex, a skin-care treatment agent that gives a cooling sensation.
Ana Eusebio, designer at Tintex Textiles, said: “Radiant yellow is Tintex’s colour of the season, with its inherent positivity and strength. It is an energetic colour that calls for a freedom to explore the world; a warm sensation of summer that feels like home.”
