Tintex joins UN platform for responsible practice

Portuguese textile maker and finisher Tintex has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative, a voluntary leadership platform for the development of responsible business practice. 

Ana Silva Tavares, Tintex’s head of sustainability, said: “Being part of the initiative means to publicly commit with all the principles that are the basis of our business -  fashion solutions that not only provide high performance nature-based textiles but also show Tintex as a leaders striving towards superior responsible fashion systems that are transparent and fully traceable throughout the supply chain. 

“We strongly believe that transparency and traceability are paramount in today’s business landscape and have established a framework for the entire complex supply chain, products, processes and suppliers. 

“By sharing common conviction with thousands of likeminded companies Tintex is contributing to a more stable and inclusive global market.”

Tintex was recently selected for an innovation award by the Portuguese Institute for Innovation for Small and Medium Enterprises (IAPMEI).
