ISPO selects Textrends for autumn-winter 2020/21

The organisers of the ISPO exhibition have published their performance textile trends for the autumn-winter 2020/21 season. ISPO Textrends will be displayed at the forthcoming edition of the show (February 3-6).

Awards were handed out in 10 sectors. The Best Product winners were as follows:

Baselayer – Tintex Textiles (Portugal), for a baselayer that featuring fibres from Smartfiber and Roica;
Second Layer – Cordura Fabric (UK) , for a lightweight, high-stretch soft shell fleece with durable outer face and soft inner;
Outer Layer – Flying Textile (China), for a wool outer layer that is breathable, waterproof and windproof;
Membranes and Coatings – Redaelli Velluti (Italy), for its Velvet series, which uses different bondings and layer combinations to offer a variety of options;
Street Sports – Wisher Industrial (Taiwan), for a smart fabric aimed at the urban outdoor sector;
Accelerated Eco - Jinjiang Chuangying Import and Export Trading (China), for a recycled fabric that is coloured before spinning;
Insulations – Thermore (Hong Kong), for its Ecodown fibres made from 100% recycled content;
Soft Equipment – Honmyue Enterprise (China), for a polyamide fabric that offers good abrasion resistance and water repellency;
Trims – Bemis Associates (US), for its new Tint functional film that can be applied to heat sensitive fabrics;
Accessories – SAB (China), for its Dynamic Zipper that offers better adaptability for hooded garments.
