ISPO Textrends names best products for spring/summer 2023

The jury said sustainability has reached a pinnacle of being an exclusive characteristic within a product, but now must become the norm within the textile chain.
It saw a functionality, performance and a higher level of creativity, delivered in a new level of lightweight qualities.
It highlighted a multitude of ingredients and processes, from water and energy saving, reduced waste, reduced home laundering, biodegradable and circular, recycled protective coatings to longer-lasting products and tackling microfibre pollution.
Bio-synthetics created a stir, as commercial offerings continue to increase, while natural fabrics with performance were a feature throughout, with cotton, linen, silk, and wool favoured fibres.

1 Accelerated Eco: WUXI PARADISE TEXTILES
Composition - 55% Biodegradable Polyester+R20/45% Bio-degradable PBT
Performance & Benefits: BioFuze is one of the world’s first synthetic fibers that returns to earth hundreds of times faster than ordinary polyester.
2 Performing Finishes: KUNSHAN SANCHUA HI-TECH FABRIC
Composition - Face 80% Polyester 30D Interlock Middle 100% PU Back 35% Graphene Polyester / 65% Polyester
Performance & Benefits: Antibacterial, anti-static, UV-cut, soft hand feel, windproof, waterproof and breathable.
3 Base Layer: ZEYNAR MENSUCAT
Composition - 47% Supima Cotton/46% Micro Modal/7% Spandex
Performance & Benefits: Supima cotton and micro-Modal. The finest fibres produce a silky soft and bright fabric. Breathable, durable, and comfortable, it’s designed to absorb the dye for a better colour fastness when washed.
4 Second Layer: ASAHI-KASEI ADVANCE CORPORATION
Composition - 96% Recycled Polyester/4% Recycled Spandex
Performance & Benefits: Knitted with a special construction knitting machine called "quarter knit", the face side is high gauge (32G) and the back is low gauge (8G). This is the reason for the name "quarter knit”, a lightweight double knit with comfort stretch using recycled yarn certified by GRS.
5 Outer Layer: HUAMAO (XIAMEN) SPECIAL MATERIAL
Composition -100% Polyamide
Performance & Benefits: CORDURA yarn with its durability features in this light weight fabric - only 66 g/m2. Anti-wrinkle recovery and anti-UV finishing reaching UPF 40+.
6 Membranes & Coatings: TINTEX TEXTILES
Composition - 100% Newlife™ Recycled Polyester
Performance & Benefits: A 100% Polyester REC coated interlock with a leather feeling, look and touch from a unique water-based coating process with pine shell. No dye process involved with this bio-based coating, that guarantees water repellency, water resistance and abrasion resistance.
7 Street Sports HUAMAO (XIAMEN) SPECIAL MATERIAL
Composition - 100% Polyamide
Performance & Benefits: Lightweight with a bubbly touch. 3D effect through dyeing, pressing, water base coating process and embossing.
