Double win for Cordura at workwear awards
A fabric produced by Pakistan-based Artistic Milliners in collaboration with Cordura for US brand Dovetail has won a prize at the Professional Clothing Industry Association Worldwide (PCIAW) Awards at the Hilton London Metropole.

Trade association PCIAW judged trousers with No Fade Black Cordura Denim, which also includes fibre from Lenzing, the Best Design for Workwear / PPE in the Suppliers, Distributors and Manufacturers Category.

Cordura also won Best Fabric & Fibre Innovation in the Suppliers, Distributors and Manufacturers Category with a stretch fire-resistant fabric.

Cindy McNaull, business development director at Cordura, said: “The longer something lasts the less need to throw it away and consume yet more resources. What an incredible experience it was for us to work with such talented brand partners, and to see this hard work be recognised with these awards is truly rewarding.”

Dovetail co-founder Sara DeLuca said: “Our latest Maven and Britt style pants came from a request from our most hardcore customers, who asked for the toughest possible pant. At the same time, we were getting requests for a non-fading black pant from women who work in tough roles as roadies, theatre techs and film crew. These pants are up to four times stronger than regular cotton denim and have a comfy stretch.”
