Imbotex launches lightest ever insulation
Imbotex’s new Ultra thermal insulation is said to weigh a mere 15 grammes per square meter. This achievement is due to a new technology that evenly disperses the fibres on a very thin layer and a thermobonding process that creates a stable material that will resist tearing and holes, the company said.

Ultra padding can be used alone, for mid-season jackets, or combined with a fine layer of aerogel to offer higher thermal insulation. Imbotex has recently introduced aerogel-based insulations in its HeatLock Aero range. These the company said, are ideal for extreme sports or for luxury brands.
