Imbotex creates ‘life after love’ for cashmere

Italian textile company Imbotex has discovered a way to use cashmere as a recycled insulation, and has scooped the Ispo 2018 prize for Best Product.

The company collects scraps of cashmere, cleans and cards them as part of its Life After Love programme.

Imbotex says ReCashmere is a light, eco-friendly and high-quality fibre with good thermal insulation and moisture management.

It is composed of 90% recycled cashmere 10% PLA low-melting fibre.
