Asahi Kasei to highlight fabrics made from Roica at ispo
Japanese fibre producer Asahi Kasei will be showcasing new fabrics made by its partner mills with Roica elastane at ispo, which opens tomorrow in Munich. The company intends to focus specifically on its Eco-Smart yarns: Roica V550, which has the ability to degrade (under ISO 14855-1 conditions) and has achieved Material Health Gold Level Cradle to Cradle certification, and Roica EF an elastane yarn made from post-industrial waste.

Fabrics on display at the booth include activewear references made by Brugnoli, Cifra WKS, Dresdner Spitzen, Iluna, Innova, Lauma Elastic, Maglificio Ripa, Penn Textile Solutions/Penn Italia, Reda Active, Sitip and Tessitura Colombo Antonio.

Asahi Kasei also intends to highlight new products made from its fibres. These include emerging Italian brand Edelvissa, who chose a fabric made by Maglificio Ripa from recycled nylon and Roica EF; Interloop Europe’s Socklab, which won an ispo award; and Stellawear swimwear including a Stella McCartney swimsuit made from a fabric by Cifra WKS.
