Rising exports help to boost Interloop

Pakistan-based textiles manufacturer Interloop has reported revenues of PKR 43.8 billion ($153 million) for the first quarter of fiscal 2026, up 5% year over year, and profit of PKR 2.8 billion compared with PKR 0.2 billion in the same period last year.

This growth in profit is attributed to higher export volumes and improved gross margins, driven by rising export prices, decreasing cotton prices and lower power costs.

the company's revenue for FY25 increased by 11% YoY to PKR 173 billion, up from PKR 156 billion. However, profitability declined by 66% YoY to PKR 5.4 billion during that year.

Management highlighted that the denim segment has turned a profit and anticipates further margin improvements. Although operational efficiencies in the apparel segment are being pursued, the company is targeting breakeven for FY27.

Interloop operates 12 facilities across Lahore and Faisalabad, employing approximately 37,000 people. The apparel capacity is around 34 million garments annually.
