SealSkinz celebrates ISO success

Manufacturer of close-fitting waterproof breathable socks, hats and gloves SealSkinz Ltd has been awarded ISO9001:2008 status for its quality management systems. The company’s products are popular with cyclists, walkers, mountaineers, horse-riders and other sports enthusiasts, as well as in the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) market. It recently signed a four-year contract for the supply of its patented socks to the UK Ministry of Defence.

Managing director, Andrew Dahl, said on announcing the news: “At SealSkinz, we have always prided ourselves on supplying great products and trying to conduct our business throughout the company with quality as our primary emphasis. Receiving ISO9001 registration is a great achievement and demonstrates our commitment to continuing to do this. As well as being important in sports markets, ISO9001 registration is often a pre-requisite for suppliers to PPE markets.”
