Sealskinz treats gloves with new nano coating

12/01/2015

Sealskinz, a UK-based accessories manufacturer, has created a new treatment for gloves called Nanosealz which uses nanotechnology to create a water repellent glove that is soft and breathable.

The Fairfield glove, which uses this technology, has silicone grip palms and finger tips for firm handling and is touch-screen compatible.

Another new glove, the Helvellyn XP, uses what Sealskinz says is a new synthetic material on the palm and a pre-curved finger design to ensure ease of movement and usability.

For socks, Sealskinz has used a new outer fabric from Schoeller which it describes as “extremely soft to the touch” but still offers hard-wearing performance.

The developments will be on show at the ISPO trade fair in Munich next month.
