New Japanese distributor for Skins

Japanese group Itochu Corporation has won the right to become the exclusive supplier and distributor in Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan for Swiss-based compression sportswear group Skins.

Founded in Australia in 1996, Skins develops and markets compression underwear that has won support from important sports science organisations, including the Australian Physiotherapy Association, for its claims that its products can help with rehabilitation and injury prevention.

Athletes and teams that endorse Skins products include the ice hockey team the St Louis Blues, golfer Rory McIlroy, the Australian rugby union team and English cricket player Paul Collingwood. Asian ambassadors include Japanese road cyclist Yukihiro Doi and Tuyoshi Wada, who plays Major League Baseball for the Baltimore Orioles.
