Skins files for bankruptcy

17/01/2019
The founder and CEO of sports compression wear developer Skins, Jamie Fuller, has posted a statement on the company’s website announcing that it has filed for bankruptcy in a Swiss court.

Although founded in Australia, Skins has its headquarters in the European country.

Mr Fuller confirmed that a trustee would be appointed to manage the company’s assets with immediate effect.

He said: “My management team and I have left no stone unturned in an effort to avoid this. I apologise unreservedly to all those affected by it. I am enormously regretful and sad that it has got to this point. Even as late as yesterday, it looked like there was an option for avoiding this action but events conspired against us and left us with no option at all.”

He added, however, that he was hopeful the brand would continue under new ownership.
