Hyosung announces creora plant expansions

Elastane producer Hyosung has announced plans to expand the creora production facility in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai, Vietnam. Phase one will be operational in August and phase 2 in November 2013. This is in addition to an expansion of the creora factory in Cerkezkoy in Turkey which, was completed last year and underlines a strategy, Hyosung has said, of putting production as close to customers as possible.

“We continue to invest in elastane fibre as we believe market demand is going to continue to grow and our state-of-the-art facilities will enable creora to [offer] the best quality, consistency, and value,” said president of Hyosung’s spandex performance unit, Whang Yun-Eun.

There are creora elastane plants in South Korea,China, and Brazil, as well as the expanded plants in Vietnam and Turkey.
