‘Invisibility’ wetsuit to protect surfers and swimmers

Working in conjunction with the University of Western Australia's Oceans Institute, entrepreneurs Hamish Jolly and Craig Anderson have developed two versions: a blue-and-white one for swimmers and divers and a black-and-white one for surfers.
The blue one has been based around the idea that sharks are colour blind – the suit effectively makes the swimmers invisible, according to the researchers.
The black and white one has bold patterns that warn sharks to stay away, and signal the wearer is an “unpalatable” food source.
Mr Anderson told news agency APF that there is "substantial" demand across the world for technologies to repel sharks. "Everyone's looking for a solution, everyone's nervous about going in the water around the world now," he said.
