Nilit to present latest Ecocare yarn at Intertextile
Israel-based nylon 6.6 producer Nilit will present its newly patented Ecocare recycled nylon fibre at the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Show from October 21-24.
Certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) for a minimum of 90% recycled content, the company claims Ecocare is the first patented nylon 6.6 recycled fibre to offer deep, uniform colour as well as being environmentally friendly.
“This recycled fibre retains the properties of Nilit’s virgin fibres and gives excellent colour depth and uniformity in the regular dye process,” said Alon Weiser, technical services and research and development manager.
Michal Ron Gavish, global marketing manager, added: “Part of our commitment to creating high-quality products includes an awareness of our environment, and a desire to implement eco-friendly processes in their creation.”
The company will exhibiting its full range of yarns at the event including its Aquarius high-performance yarn with moisture management properties; its Breeze cooling yarn, which helps to reduce body temperature; its Bodyfresh anti-bacterial yarn, which inhibits the growth of odour-causing bacteria; its Softex full dull microfibre yarn, which delivers softness and rich colour; and its Innergy yarn, which has a built-in, naturally occurring mineral additive that creates far infrared ray (FIR) emissions.
