Israel’s Nilit has presented the results of a tests which it claims show Nilit Innergy, a nylon 6.6 microfibre with built-in far infrared ray properties, helps to relieve muscle fatigue and increases oxygen levels in the blood.

It presented the results of the study – led by five professors from Italian universities - to an audience of 60 journalists in Milan.

The academics also say they observed a reduction of lactic acid in the muscles and that fabrics made from the yarn help to stimulate skin vitality.

“The mineral additive found in the yarn converts the thermo energy of the human body into FIR and reflects it back to the skin tissues causing deep, gentle heating,” said Nilit.
