Rivals reach agreement to end litigation over FIR
25/06/2014
Rhodia Poliamida is the owner of the Emana brand, while Nilit has its own FIR brand, Nilit Innergy.
Under the agreement, both parties have agreed to end legal disputes through “a mutual withdrawal of all existing litigation procedures and claims regarding global marketing and sales of Innergy and Emana,” the statement said.
So far, Rhodia Poliamida has made no statement of its own. In a follow-up discussion with Sportstextiles, Nilit said it had arrived at an agreement with Rhodia based on an understanding that both sides will better off using their budgets to promote and sell their products, rather than on legal fees and court cases.
“Both sides have shown a lot of good will and understanding that the market is big enough,” the company said, adding that the agreement places no geographical restriction on either company.
