For one year only, ISPO Beijing moves to January in 2015

Event organiser Messe München International has announced that the dates for the Lunar New Year holiday in China and other parts of Asia next year mean its ISPO Beijing exhibition will move, for one year only, to an earlier time.

In 2015, ISPO Beijing will take place from January 28-31, rather than its usual dates around the end of February. Next year, the Chinese New Year holiday will start on February 19 and, because many businesses take up up to two weeks off, a clash with the usual ISPO Beijing dates seemed inevitable.

Chairman of Messe München International, Klaus Dittrich, said on making the announcement that postponing ISPO Beijing until March would have led to clashes in the international event calendar. He said: “We contacted our customers early on to find the best possible date, under consideration of all aspects.”

For once, ISPO Beijing will be before ISPO Munich. The flagship ISPO event will take place in Munich from February 5-8 in 2015.
