Messe Frankfurt grows textile show portfolio

Detlef Braun, a board member at Messe Frankfurt, said: “Our portfolio of textile fairs embraces over 40 international events and covers the entire textile value chain. By taking over the three trade fairs, we can now offer our customers easier access to the growing South American textile and garment market. Moreover, the exhibitors, many of them long-standing customers of our existing textile fairs, will profit from our expertise in the field of fairs and exhibitions. We have been operating successfully in Argentina for 15 years.”
Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq rank among the biggest international events for the textile and garment industries in South America. In May 2014, 255 exhibitors came to the Costa Salguero Exhibition Centre in Buenos Aires, around half of them from outside Argentina. Around 12,500 trade visitors, 95% of them from Argentina, saw a wide range of innovations and pioneering high-technology.
Altogether, Messe Frankfurt owns 40 international fairs for the textile and garment industries. In 2013, around 17,000 exhibitors and 430,000 visitors took part in these events around the globe.
