Extra projects to benefit from outdoor industry generosity

Following a growth in membership and the engagement of seven sustaining members, the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) is asking the public to vote on which conservation projects it should fund in its second funding round of the year.

During July, 86 conservation organisations applied to EOCA for funding of up to €30,000 to implement projects to conserve threatened species and habitats.

The shortlisted projects have been organised into three categories; alpine, outdoor and nature and the public can vote via the website until October 6; the project with the highest number of votes in each category will receive funding.

The seven EOCA sustaining members are: OutDoor (Messe Friedrichshafen), Pertex, KEEN Footwear, Nikwax, ISPO (Messe München), Patagonia and the European Outdoor Group (EOG), which is also the founding member of the association
