Two new EOCA members mean €240,000 for conservation
The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) has welcomed two new members to the organisation – Zamberlan and Kendal Mountain Festival – bringing the total number of members to 126.
Italy-based Calzaturificio Zamberlan has been making outdoor boots for 85 years. Owner Marco Zamberlan said: ”The mountains are part of our DNA at Zamberlan. We need to take our responsibility to protect wild landscapes seriously, and what better way to do that than by working with and actively contributing to EOCA?”
Clive Allen, Director of Kendal Mountain Festival, added: “Kendal Mountain Festival inspires people to get outdoors and push their own boundaries and, collectively, we must do everything we can to ensure we protect the places they want to go to. Getting involved with EOCA means we have a very positive and tangible way of doing that.”
EOCA is an initiative from the European outdoor industry with the objective of protecting the wild areas. It will fund €240,000 worth of conservation projects this year.
