Brazil pledges millions for textile sector
The Brazilian Textile and Apparel Association (ABIT) has signed a deal with the government-funded Brazilian Agency for Export Promotion and investments (Apex-Brasil) to boost the sector by R$ 45.6 million ($16.5 million).
A two-year programme will boost communication, support, innovation and business development.
“One of the main characteristics of this new agreement is the customisation of projects to meet the specific needs of each participating company’s profile and the strong investment in technology, design, innovation and sustainability to differentiate the Brazilian product in the world,” said Mauricio Borges, president of Apex-Brazil.
