ISPO announces dates for new Chinese location

The organiser Messe München says it has seen a growing demand from the industry for a trade show for seasonal sports in the Asia-Pacific region.
Fan Jun, secretary general of the China Commerce Association for General Merchandise, said: “Due to the changing consumer behaviour in China, many of our members have begun to pay more attention to summer sports.”
Messe München already runs ISPO Bejing, which is moving to a January slot in 2015.
Roger Ren, general manager of Wild Rampage, the Chinese distributor of Osprey, Smith and Oboz and which exhibits at ISPO Bejing, said: “We are pleased that ISPO will launch a summer exhibition in Shanghai, because we will be able to gain access to wider variety of customers there.”
