ISPO Shanghai 2017 to consider future of manufacturing

The 2017 edition of ISPO Shanghai is to feature a new sub-show, “Sports Tech Asia”, which will focus on innovative production technologies and the future of manufacturing.

The new addition will take place alongside the larger event at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from July 6 to 8. 

“Innovative patterns, knitting techniques and fabrics are becoming increasingly important in sports fashion,” said Klaus Dittrich, CEO of Messe München, which organises ISPO Shanghai.

“The trade show underlines that it is not only textiles that are becoming increasingly smart and networked but also the production procedures,” he added. 

Sports Tech Asia will have a strong focus on the innovative machines and technologies used in the manufacturing of sports products. It will be connected to the clothing and textile segment of ISPO Shanghai.
