Strong demand for British wool

Demand for British wool has been particularly strong in the past six months, with the average selling price 34% higher than last year, according to the British Wool Marketing Board.

"Demand has been high, with sales in the last few weeks achieving clearances of 100%, at higher prices than have been seen all season," said chairman Malcolm Corbett.

"No matter what the type of wool, it is well sought after as a tightening global supply is driving demand from all sectors."
