Intertek chooses Bangladesh for “biggest softlines lab in Asia”

Testing services provider Intertek opened a new facility in Bangladesh at the end of June to support the the country’s ready-made garment industry. Intertek said at the time of the launch that its new laboratory, which is in the capital city, Dhaka, is the largest softlines testing laboratory in Asia. It described it as “a one-stop facility for all quality and safety-assurance solutions”.

Companies will be able to use the facility to test products made in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan, as well as in Bangladesh, it added.

Footwear testing will also be carried out at the site.
