Botswana wants more from AGOA

Botswana has set up a new textile and apparel association, the Botswana Clothing and Textile Association (BTCA), to enhance the industry’s growth there.

Based in the capital city, Gaborone, the association will direct most of its efforts to help local producers take advantage of AGOA (Africa Growth and Opportunity Act), a programme set up by the US in 2000 to assist the economies of sub-Saharan Africa.
