Management reshuffle at Adidas

German sportswear group Adidas has promoted its head global supply chain to human resources manager as part of a change in top management which has seen 13 senior appointments in the past year.

Karen Parkin, who joined the company in 1997, will report to CEO Herbert Hainer.

Jan Brecht will take over the supply chain function in addition to his current role as chief information officer.

"The sporting goods and lifestyle market is in permanent flux. Speed will be a significant advantage which ensures that the group's products reach consumers faster," said Adidas.

Mr Hainer will be discussing manufacturing speed as part of its Speedfactory project at the World Federation of Sporting Good Industry Forum in Leipzig in November.
