Textile technology developer Schoeller has brought to market a new range of fabrics containing Tencel. Schoeller said at the time of the launch that it wanted to use plant-based Tencel for its silkiness and soft, flowing drape” as well as for comfort.

The Swiss company said the new collection, which comes under the banner schoeller-shape, combines high levels of moisture absorption with “skin sensory properties” that it says offer the wearer a feeling of wellbeing and a cool touch.

Golf apparel is one of the application areas in which Schoeller believes the fabrics will prove popular.
