Ortovox happy with Cordura’s contribution to climbing pants

German outdoor brand Ortovox has said highlights of its spring-summer 2016 collection will include its Merino Shield Tec pants and shorts, describing them as “the ultimate Alpine climbing pants”.

Ortovox has said the pants are scuff-resistant and robust thanks to processing with fabric from Cordura. In the Martindale test used to test scuff resistance, the primary material for the shorts and pants was able to withstand more than 50,000 abrasion cycles, the outdoor brand said.

Along with Cordura, the trousers contain merino wool, spandex and nylon.
